Carlos Santana

Carlos Santana is a famous Mexican-American singer and musician, born in 1947 in Autlán de Navarro (Mexico). He is considered one of the best guitarist in the world. Both his English songs and the Spanish ones are characterized  by a mix of rock, jazz, salsa and blues. Another distinctive trait is the amazing sound of his guitar. Up to now he has sold more than 80 millions copies. In 1961 he moved to San Francisco and he rose to fame with the Santana Blues Band. His songs were a smash hit in the 1970s and 1980s,  but in the 1990s  his popularity became so low that he was without a contract. In 1999 he released Supernatural which was a great  success, saving him from a complete failure. Supernatural is considered one of his best work and he won 9 Grammy Awards.
