Maná

Originally formed by Fher Olvero (vocals), Alex Gonzalez (drums), Juan Diego Calleros (bass) and Ulises Calleros (guitar) in the 1980s, Mana has endured many changes in the group’s configuration over the years. After changing labels from Polygram to Warner prior to their first major release, Falta Amor in 1992, Mana recorded 1994’s Donde Jugaran Los Ninos? with Ivan Gonzalez and Cesar Lopez before settling on the current four-piece lineup of Olvero, González, Juan Diego Calleros and guitarist Sergio Vallin. Building on the success of Falta Amor with extensive Mexican tours, Mana exploded to international stardom with 1997’s Suenos Liquidos.
As subsequent albums have continued to climb in the Billboard charts, Mana have compiled a uniquely powerful and elaborate body of work as well as a superlative popular following. 1998 and 2002 Grammys for Best Latin Performance and Best Latin Album acknowledge one of the highly celebrated live acts of recent times, while the record-breaking commercial success of Amar es Combatir shows a real appetite for their progressive and innovative rock sound.
