Azkena Rock Festival

Azkena Rock Festival, whose organizers are the same as Santander Summer Festival’s, is held since 2002 in the city of Vitoria, in the Basque country. It usually takes place at the end of August – beginning of September and always manages to gather many famous rock bands from all over Europe. More than 20.000 people attend every year the festival and enjoy the best rock, indy pop and underground music. The concerts are held on two big stages and the festival site includes a Rock Tent, where the music goes on from 1:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m., and also benefits of other five tents with bars, restaurants, supermarket and a cash machine. There is also a market with clothes, handicrafts, music-stands and much more. The festival ticket includes free camping in the camp site situated nearby.

2006 edition boast well-known artists such as Pearl Jam, New York Dolls, Buckcherry, Iggy & The Stooges and Misfits. If you are a fan of rock music, you should definitely not miss this Festival!
