Bilbao Live Festival

The first edition of Bilbao Live Festival was only held recently, in July 2006, but the event has achieved great success with an attendance of 50.000 people. The eclectic music taste of its organizers brought together legendary groups as well as up-and-coming international and national artists, giving the festival a wide mix of music styles. It took place in the Recinto Kobetamendi, Bilbao; an area of 70.000 square meters was used to set up the festival site: two stages (where the concerts were going on from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.), two Techno tents, a Pop tent, a chill-out zone, six tents with restaurants and bars and a market with clothes and records. Close to the concerts site there was a free camping zone for all those who were attending the festival.


Among the artists who performed at this BLF – first edition: Placebo, Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, The Pretenders, The Cardigans, Ben Harper, Deftones, Andrés Calamaro and Ariel Rot. Without doubt a very attractive line-up!
